Basic Operating Principle

The Halo is a mechanical pump that uses wheel rotation to generate compressed air.

Inside the unit there is a pendulum-like mass, similar to a self-winding watch. While the wheel rotates, the pendulum remains oriented downward due to gravity. This creates relative motion between internal components.

This relative rotational motion drives a pumping mechanism that compresses air.

How Pressure Is Controlled

When tire pressure drops below the configured Cold Inflation Pressure:

  • The system detects the pressure deviation using multiple internal pressure sensors

  • The Halo pump automatically adds air while the vehicle is moving

Once the target pressure is reached, pumping stops.
